Our analogue services come in either single or multilines. A single line allows users to make one incoming and outgoing call at a time. With our optional ‘Call Sign’ feature, you can also have two numbers for your single line, which is ideal for users to distinguish between work and personal calls/ multiple businesses calls. Multilines allow users to make multiple incoming and outgoing calls on one telephone number. They can be used individually with phones plugged directly into sockets or attached to a telephone system.

ISDN carries your phone line digitally. Our ISDN services come in two forms: ISDN2e – is suitable for offices with 2-8 users. ISDN2 allows you to do two things per line, meaning that you can use one line for data, and another for calls. Channels can also be separated to make two calls at once. ISDN30e – is suitable for larger businesses, ISDN30e can carry 8-30 lines. You can combine your lines to get higher bandwidth and also link multiple offices. You can also make simultaneous calls.

How it works
- When our customers make an outgoing call, dialled digits are transmitted down the phone line to the local BT exchange.
- The BT exchange can recognise the calling party and will then pass the call to the Chess network where the dialled number is analysed for routing purposes.
- The call is then passed to the terminating parties’ network provider, reaching the destination network. Call charges are billed to the customer account, which should be paid alongside the line rental charges every month.
