We know that managing a business wither its big or small can be a challenge, especially when you have teams working from home or out remotely out in the field. It can be an issue trying to manage your times, marketing campaigns, storage and communication just to name a few.

We have found some apps available for both IOS and Android that can help you and your business, with some of the issues you may face running a business.

Being able to access your documents anywhere, on any device is key in the day and age we are in. You should be able to edit your documents that you were working on in the office, from home, train or out in the field. And you can do this with Google Drive.

Google drive comes packed with loads of benefits and features from being able to edit your work whilst you are in offline mode, view your revision history of documents, you can share your documents, videos and images with anyone making it easy to share your work with colleagues. 

One of the good things about it is that it's free to use. You can pay an additional fee to gain extra storage space but the free 15gb you get might be enough.



We all know that creating an email marketing campaign can be hard work and takes a lot of time and effort to get it right. So instead of keeping you tied to your desk you can now start the work on one device and complete it on another, using MailChimp.

MailChimp has a bunch of features for even those just starting out using email marketing campaigns. You can create Sign Up forms, create newsletters to help build your audience and a few other documents using its great templates that it has to offer.  If you’re not sure how to do it, don’t worry mail chimp can take you through step by step as it is really beginner-friendly. 

You can use the site for free providing you have less than 2,000 subscribers. If you go above that number, a cost is involved. That cost varies depending on how many subscribers are on your list. So, it’s definitely worth taking a look and seeing if this could apply to your business.

You can keep up to date with all your campaigns, updates, subscribers and more, you can download the app on both IOS and android. So, it’s definitely worth having a look. 



Taking notes can sometimes be a bit of a nightmare. Either using an app on your mobile phone, or maybe just using a note system on your mac or pc, or you may even be old school and prefer a pen and paper. Well, Evernote is a one-stop shop for all of your note-taking needs and works really well within your business or even personal use.

You can create those important notes from a meeting, or perhaps a text template from the app and you can continue to edit it using the desktop site and visa Versa. You can share your notes with your colleagues by one simple tap and using the link that Evernote Provides. 

Perhaps you have attended a conference and have handwritten a note. Using the app you can take this as an image and Evernote will save this and create it into a text document, again making note-taking easy than ever before. You can use the search function and it will locate the text within the image. 

One great feature of Evernote is the ability to save webpages. You can install the Evernote extension to your web browser and you can save webpages directly to your notes, giving you the ability to access those offline. Overall great app to help manage all of the note-taking to another level.



Time is very precious to all of us and finding a way to track what time is being spent on using different devices can really help, and you can do this using Toggl.

If you are looking for a tool to help manage what time is being spent on tasks, or how much time is being spent on a specific project, then this is a great programme. You can create reports to look into the most worked areas, break down what projects you worked on and more. Perhaps you might be self-employed and need to charge a client by the time you have spent on a project then Toggl can do this for you. Everything updates in real-time, so wither you do this from the Toggl app or straight from the website. As another added benefit you can also save your logged times in offline mode too, and then this will synch when you are back online again.

Toggl does come with a free to use account which allows for up to 5 team members. So, if you are looking for a great time tracking resource, then this might be for you. 



Finally, communication is king in any business. Being able to communicate effectively can make or break a business and with Slack, this can defiantly do that.

Slack is a messaging system that allows you to engage with one and other team members. You can organise your chats into what slack call ‘channels’. These channels could be departments, locations, job title, anything really. Slack has the ability to integrate loads of apps into it like Twitter, Google Drive and all of your social media to really help improve the overall communication within your team or business. You can share files and folders using slacks own file management system, you can create private chats, create great video conference calls and a ton more features. 

You can either use slack on the mobile app which is available on both IOS and Android, and you can download the Slack programme for Mac and Windows. It really is a great tool to help improve communication and keep it all central to one location.
