In this week's blog, we are going to be going through five ways to enhance your workflows with Microsoft teams.
What is Microsoft Teams? Well, it’s a hub for teamwork and collaboration. It’s a game-changer of a tool, much like Outlook was when it first hit our computer screens.
Let’s jump in and check our five great features that you can use right now!
Number 5 on our list is the ability to make voice and video calls.
Being able to communicate quickly and effectively is must in the day and we live in. Microsoft teams give you the ability to make voice and video calls straight from your PC or Mac to people outside of the organisation or most usefully between people within your organisation. Meaning that you are no longer tied to your desk phone. And the beauty of Microsoft teams it's really easy to do, it can all be done by the simple click of a button. Much like the similar social media platforms, you may be used too.
At number 4 is the real-time screen shareability.
When we work in an industry with offices in various locations spread far and wide in the UK or overseas, or even you might have teams out remotely. Being able to share work or a project that you are working on, is a great feature. This works across conference calls and 1-2-1 sessions. Using this function you can share your screen and collaborate on a project that you may be working on, showcase your latest design or maybe even use for training purposes.
All this is built-in natively with Microsoft Teams and really does help productivity when working on a project or collaborating on a document.
On our list at number 3 is the Microsoft Teams App.
We all need to be able to grab our work and go go go. Communication in your company or your role doesn’t need to stop when you leave your desk. And with the Microsoft Team’s app, you can do exactly that.
The app allows you to do everything you normally would on the normal desktop app. You can still use the chat function, schedule team meetings, make voice and video calls. And it’s all done through a simple interface.
Making calls is a simple as clicking a button. If you need to send a message, that's simple too. Using the interface you can send a message just like you would on any other social media platform.
All these features really do give you the ability to continue the collaboration and communication between you and team members. And it's available on both IOS and Android.
At number 2 is the ability to edit Office 365 documents.
As Microsoft Teams is part of the Office 365 suite, it comes with editing features for many of the popular file types, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint. These can all be natively edited within Microsoft Teams, as well as being able to collaborate with other team members live! You can do this both on the app and the desktop.
Gone are the days where you have to email a document. Edit it, and then send it back… They are gone!!! Forget about them...
You can now edit those documents within Microsoft Teams using the other partner apps to really help productivity within your business.
And taking the Number 1 spot on our list is the ability to integrate with other apps.
We have already mentioned that Office integrates with Office 365 apps but integrations just don’t stop there. Through the inbuilt app features, you can add things like Adobe Creative Cloud, Workforce, Evernote, Survey Monkey and many more.
There is a dedicated apps button within Microsoft Teams, once you have clicked it you will see the host of integrations available to you, to really help enhance your businesses productivity.
