09.30 (Wed): Openreach have confirmed that the issues affecting voice and data services in the North East of England have now been resolved, and they are carrying out investigations into the cause.
Tuesday 12 November
17:00: Openreach engineers are still at the location of the suspected fibre break and are continuing to investigate.
15:30: Openreach engineers are at the location of the suspected fibre break, further investigations are underway.
14:00: Openreach has advised engineers are on-site and still investigating the fault.
12.30: A PTO (Precision Test Officer) has been tasked to carry out further investigations into the failure. Root cause and estimated time of repair are unknown at present.

10.30: We have been made aware of a BT network outage that’s affecting voice and data services in the Newcastle area. Engineers are currently investigating the issue.
