On the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, Apple went all out, hosting their annual conference at the newly created Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino, California.
During the event Apple didn’t just announce one new iPhone but revealed the launch of the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and most importantly the iPhone X. An updated Apple Watch Series 3 and Apple TV are also among the new products hitting the shelves soon.
We were excited to see that most of our predictions in our recently published a blog on Why We Love the New iPhone8 (And Why You Should Too)
were accurate. Here is a summary of everything you need to know about Apple’s three newcomers…
All new models feature wireless charging and are splash, water and dust resistant. They also include EarPods with Lightning Connector and the intelligent Siri functionality that enables you to use your voice to send messages, set reminders and get intelligent suggestions.
The iPhone X is without a doubt the most exciting of the three and really does offer it all. With a 5.8″ Super Retina HD display, 12MP wide-angle and telephoto cameras as well as Face ID enabled by a TrueDepth camera for facial recognition it has the most new features. It’s battery power lasts up to 2 hours longer than the iPhone 7 and charges up to 50% in 30 minutes. With talk time up to 21 hours, internet use up to 12 hours and wireless video playback up to 13 hours, Apple has definitely improved battery life for this model.
The middle weight iPhone 8 Plus features a 5.5″ Retina HD display 12MP wide-angle and telephoto cameras and touch ID. The battery life is similar to that of the iPhone 7 Plus but offers an hour more internet usage.
The iPhone 8 has the smallest Retina HD display out of all the new models which is 4.7″. It has a 12MP camera but no wide-angle or telephoto functionality and features the standard touch ID. Its battery lasts about the same as the iPhone 7 but is also fast-charge capable just like the other new iPhone models.
