Formerly known as Microsoft Worldwide, Inspire is Microsoft’s Partner Community Conference, one of the biggest events in Microsoft’s calendar. Throughout Inspire, Partners gather to learn about product roadmaps for the upcoming year, to network, share best practices, experience the latest product innovations and learn new skills and techniques.

Our very own Kate Wood was invited as a guest speaker at the Women in Technology charity luncheon. Kate spoke in front of 1,000 people, alongside huge industry names including Satya Nadella (CEO of Microsoft Corporation), Gavriella Schuster (CVP for one commercial partner at Microsoft Corporation) and Julia White (VP of Azure Marketing at Microsoft Corporation). Kate was asked to share how she influenced a company-wide Agent of Change attitude, encouraging Chess to embrace the digital transformation which resulted in the Sunday Times 2018 Best Company to Work For win.

Kate spoke with her trademark passion and wit about the importance of how technology drives culture and in return culture drives technology, her personal growth and how Chess made it to number one. Kate’s speech was met with a flurry of excitement on social media, with some bigwigs in tech championing her speech.

Kate said;

‘I was so proud to represent Chess in Vegas at Microsoft Inspire. To share a stage with so many people I admire was a dream come true and speaking about our passion for culture to 1,000 people is something I will never forget.’

Kate was joined at the $900+ billion-dollar revenue event by Alan Cassidy (MD Digital) and Stephen Dracup (MD).

Alan was admittedly blown away by Kate’s performance, telling us;

'Kate shone bright in the sea of talented speakers at a truly world class event - I was talking with directors of a North American company who described her as 'Chess’ differentiator'”

Kate’s speech comes alongside the timely launch of Chess’ engage app. engage is an easy to use digital solution for capturing and nurturing employee engagement, empowering your people to shape and monitor their personal development and engage with your business.
