Team Chess, comprised of 14 adults and 6 children, making it a day full of family fun, with everyone raising a whopping amount for charity in the process!
The 5k Colour Run began at 10:30am, however finishing first certainly wasn’t the aim of the game for this run. No competitions here, this run was all about having fun and even had a foam zone for the first time ever! The scorching hot Sunday saw temperatures reaching a high of 21 degrees in Aldenham County Park, where the run took place.
The event included live music, food stalls, rides and games all throughout the day making it an entertaining day out for everyone involved regardless of age or athletic capabilities. The team ended the day covered in coloured powder, water and foam, looking as colourful as they felt!
Ending the day on a high, team Chess managed to smash their target of £700, instead raising an astonishing £970.63 for the Peace Hospice. A massive thank you to everyone who was generous enough to donate to team Chess helping to raise such an amazing amount for a great charity.
