Tue 9.30 am: The major cable breakage, which caused a Voice and Data outage yesterday, has now been rectified and all services are operating normally.
3.45 pm: A temporary fix is now in place and a further update is expected in the morning.
2.45 pm: Testing is currently continuing and we are monitoring the situation, posting reqular updates as information is confirmed.
1.45 pm: The cause of an ongoing outage issue affecting Voice and Data customers in Lancashire is associated with a major cable issue. Testing is currently in progress and we are contiuning to monitor the situation and update A large number of circuits are currently being rerouted, however this was not possible at the Burscough exchange due to capacity.
12.15 am: The Openreach engineer has arrived on site and is investigating the root cause of the issue affecting Voice and Data Customers. The IP engineers are now trying to re-route most customers who should see services restored once this is completed.
11.45 am: Openreach have identified the location of the fault and investigations are currently ongoing, at present no timescales have been provided but we will continue to update in due course.
11.10 am: We are aware of an issue affecting Voice & Data Customers. This problem is at supplier level and is affecting customers in the Lancashire area. Engineers have been allocated to investigate the cause of the fault, at this stage the cause of the fault remains unknown but is being treated as high priority.
