Chess Joins YPO Framework

The need for public sector organisations to be able to access robust, reliable communication and connectivity solutions is being addressed by YPO, with the launch of a new national network and telecommunications framework, valued at £750million.

Offering all public sector organisations a full range of connectivity and communication technology services, this first-of-its kind framework includes sourcing, procurement, delivery and support for local area networks, wide area networks, cybersecurity, digital fibre infrastructure, smart cities and internet of things, communications services, and mobile, voice and data solutions.

"We’ve been working with public sector organisations for over 20 years, and are able offer in-depth industry experience and expertise in the network and telecoms sector. From blue light to education, we’re able to advise on the best solutions for organisations and their communities."

Joanne Austin, Commercial Bid Leader, Chess

YPO’s head of public sector Gavin Rimmington, said: ‘The launch of this framework will reassure the public sector that we’re here to support organisations through a period of digital transformation. It’s no secret that we’re all facing more pressure to adopt digital practises while still maintaining operational and financial stability.

‘Utilising the combined expertise of our suppliers and YPO, the network connectivity and telecommunications framework provides clear and easily implementable solutions, significant financial value for money and continuous guidance throughout the life of awarded contracts.

"Using Chess to renew our mobile phone contract was quick and easy. Chess discussed our requirements and understood some of the challenges we were experiencing and therefore were able to shape a new contract to meet our needs. All transfers and billing are managed by Chess so there are no complicated processes to follow and most importantly, there was no drop in service and our users didn’t even notice the change. Contactable support was available throughout the process and the ongoing service levels are excellent."
